Can they make us apply that to the loan? We really wanted to fix the house and have the rest just to pad our pockets being that we are the ones who hired a lawyer to get the insurance company to pay, not them. Please I need some insight, maybe someone who has been through something like this.

The hit to his silverado was on the very corner of the long bed on the passenger side. his insurance claim 50/50. He said he was out in the street getting ready to turn at the street. I told them if he had been in the street i would have hit him closer to his mid bed where the tires are and my hit would not have been to the trunk of my blazer. What can i do know?
NO police reports and no witnesses other then my ten year old niece and his brother who waved him down to stop. He said his brother waved him down to stop him. thats my other question why would he need to stop him if he was out in to the street??? his insurance didnt take him as a witness but didnt speak with my niece either. But all the neighbors know that they all drive really fast around our dead end street even when children are at play. and I feel he took blame when i told him didnt you see me? you guys akways pull out fast we’ve even had to honk at them to stop other times . I say i because my brothers and neighbor had this guy almost hit them too.

I had a theft and fraud loss during the construction of our home while under a Builder’s Risk policy. (I was the owner/builder named on the policy). That policy has been replaced with a traditional homeowners policy now. Can I go back and file a claim against the Risk policy for property and $$ reported stolen during the term of the policy but never recovered? The police reports were made when the Risk policy was in effect.

I had natural disaster on my car. at that time i had insurance that was going to expire at the end of the month. My wife had applied and received a new policy with a different insurance co. so they overlap each other. I filed for a claim under the 1st insurance and my wife filed a claim with the 2nd. well we recieved to checks. Well i was ignorant about insurance legalities at the time, but after investigating i know now that it is considered fraud. Which brings me to this question. If i give the money back to the insurance that we no longer have…will i be still liable for fraud. Or what should i do……..any response would be grately appreciated. Thank You!

We recently had a major hail storm move through the area and my home was pretty well blasted. I have roof, window and siding damage for which the insurance company estimated repairs at $9,800. The windows and roof without a doubt need to be replaced. The siding on the otherhand could probably wait since it is entirely cosmetic. If I choose not to replace the siding is that acceptable? I am from Arkansas if it varies by state. I would just assume to leave the siding as is and replace it acouple of years down the road all together when it really needs the work done.
